Smeg – Innovative Design
If you’ve learned one thing from this blog, it’s that Smeg put a serious amount of passion and effort into the design of their Smeg FAB fridges. Whilst other companies might be happy churning out the same old white, silver and black appliances, Smeg go far futher – you can get a Smeg FAB fridge in pretty much any colour of the spectrum, and some beyond that! In fact, we might as well take this opportunity to have a look at some their most innovative designs. Here’s out top 3 countdown of the most innovative Smeg FAB fridges.
3 – Our first Smeg FAB Fridge is this bright and beautiful offering. It’ll hold all your fruit and veg with ease, but most importantly it’s got all the colours of the rainbow on the outside!
2 – After that colourful effort, we’re darkening things up a little and taking a trip into the world of futuristic design. This Smeg FAB Fridge features a translucent front door panel, so you can keep an eye on your food whilst it stays cool.
1 – Without doubt though, the most iconic Smeg FAB Fridge design is the Union Jack. It’s been on the TV, it’s been in movies and you only have to take one look at it to see why. This is our choice for the most innovative Smeg FAB fridge!
So there we have it, the most innovative Smeg FAB fridge designs! Come back next time for some more info, and keep up to date with your Smeg!
Cold? Get a Smeg Wall Fire!
Brrrrrr! That’s the sound of chattering teeth, it’s winter and it’s blooming cold! Well it is outside anyway, but definitely not inside. Want to know why? Because I’ve just gone and got myself a Smeg Wall Fire that’s why.
A new fire might sound like a serious fuss and a huge strain on your bank account but with a Smeg Wall Fire it most definitely isn’t; Smeg Wall Fires are actual gas fires that hang right from your wall, so you can put them absolutely anywhere and start feeling the heat. You don’t have to start hammering down your wall to fit a chimney and gas pipes, the Smeg Wall Fire works independently of both! It’s kind of like magic. Here’s what mine looks like.

Smeg Wall Fire
You don’t just have to put your Smeg Wall Fire in the living room like a normal fire, you can stick one anywhere and add some serious style to your home. Find yourself curling up under the covers in winter? Put an end to your frosty fears and warm your toes with a Smeg Wall Fire next to your bed! You can put them absolutely anywhere. Well, anywhere within reason. What are you waiting for? Go and grab yourself one!
Smeg Fab30
We’re going to take a closer look at some of the models in the Smeg FAB range, starting with the Smeg FAB30. With this you get a huge fridge compartment at the bottom and a slightly smaller freezer compartment on top – but you can still fit loads of your stuff in both! If I had to use one word to describe the Smeg FAB30, that word would be funky. The Smeg FAB30 is a funky fridge. That title isn’t exclusive to the Smeg FAB30 but I think it particularly applies in this case. They’ve got a capacity of 315 litres and come with 3 adjustable glass shelves, which will come in handy for placing things on. Overall, I can’t recommend the Smeg FAB30 highly enough! I’m quite the fan.
Smeg Fab32
The Smeg FAB32 is 2 steps up from the Smeg FAB30, and luckily that hasn’t proved a step too far for Smeg – the FAB32 is just as impressive as its numerically smaller brother. Or sister if yours is pink. Brace yourself, because the layout on the Smeg FAB32 is slightly different too – it comes with the fridge section on top and the freezer section on the bottom. The fridge section on the Smeg FAB32 is roomy enough for a huge 205 litres of whatever you want to put in there (I recommend Lucozade) whilst the freezer section of the Smeg FAB32, whilst boasting a slightly more modest 103 litre capacity, is still spacey enough to hold all the ready meals you’ll ever need! Like any other Smeg, the Smeg FAB32 is seriously stylish too, coming in the usual exciting range of Smeg designs. (I recommend Pastel Blue)
Smeg Fab28
The Smeg FAB28 is 4 steps down from the Smeg FAB32, but excitingly only 2 down from the Smeg FAB30. Its numerical diminution however is no reflection on the quality, only on the size! Unlike its cool cousins the Smeg FAB28 doesn’t come with a separate freezer section, but don’t fret, it does come with an icebox. That box isn’t limited to ice, you can put anything you want in there (I recommend food). The Smeg FAB28 is the ideal fridge for those who want to add some Smeg style to a modest sized kitchen. The Smeg FAB28 will add some va-va-voom to your room. I know some people who own a Smeg FAB28 in green and it puts the rest of their appliances to shame!
Smeg Retro Fridge
What’s cooler than being cool? Ice cold! Not my words, the words of Outkast. If you want to add some of that cool to your kitchen then the only way to do it is with a Smeg retro fridge. With a Smeg retro fridge you’re getting some serious sixties chic combined with completely modern innovation, design and technology – the perfect compromise for the style-savvy. Smeg retro fridges form only one portion of the Smeg range, but unsurprisingly they’re the most popular, and you only have to take a look at one to understand why.
Smeg retro fridges are available in a huge range of designs, including the big white one that I own, and the green one my friends bought. Think of a colour. Got one? I’ll give you a second. What colour did you think of? Well you can have a Smeg retro fridge in that colour! The Smeg retro fridges aren’t just available in solid colours either; you can get special designs including the iconic Union Jack. You don’t need to hit 88mph in a Delorean to go back in time; you just need a Smeg retro fridge.

Smeg Fab
I’ve just had a new kitchen installed in my house. Do you know what my first purchase for the kitchen was? It was a Smeg FAB fridge. Why? Because it was the smart thing to do! I didn’t need to wash my clothes, they could wait, and I didn’t need to wash the dishes, I just wanted to add some serious style to my kitchen with a Smeg FAB fridge. I’m sure you’re thinking style over substance is a bad shout, but that’s not the case – with a Smeg FAB fridge you get a healthy dose of both.
There’s a lot of choice within the Smeg FAB range too, both in size and in colour. Whether you want a small pink Smeg FAB fridge or a huge white Smeg FAB fridge like I got, they’ve got something for you. Ok so we’ve covered the style, now let’s consider the substance. The fridges in the Smeg FAB range come with huge internal capacities so you can fit tons of food inside! If you’re throwing a party to show off your new Smeg to all your mates, you’ll have no trouble storing all the food right inside. If by some strange coincidence you’re playing hide and seek and you need a spot to hide in, you could even take the shelves out of your Smeg and jump right in. It’ll be a bit dark; you might want to consider a torch. In all seriousness, since I got my Smeg FAB fridge I haven’t looked back, it’s probably the best purchase I’ve ever made.
